Some technology companies will hand your project manager a fixed cable-count sheet and call it a plan. We don't work that way, because a fixed spec can't do the one thing that actually matters on a custom home: understand how the people are going to live in it.
Before we run a single wire, we sit down with your client and talk about the house room by room — how they'll use each space, what they want it to do, what they haven't even thought to ask for yet. Out of that conversation come the ideas that make a home genuinely work: the drop nobody planned for, the pre-wire that saves a wall from being opened later, the detail that turns a nice house into their house. Sometimes it's also a reason to reconsider part of a plan before it's permanent. A checklist can't have that conversation. We build our whole approach around it.
That's what "fully custom" actually means — not a longer menu, but a real design conversation for every home. And it's what protects you, too: the problems we catch at the conversation stage don't become change orders after the drywall's up.

Anyone will say yes to a paying customer. What you actually want in a partner is someone who'll tell you when a plan is going to bite you — before it's built in. Here's one that stuck with us.
The attic that couldn't hold the plan
Ultimately, we had to pass on this install. Here's why.
A homeowner building a custom house wanted his whole AV rack up in the attic. He was set on it — wouldn't budge.
The obvious one is heat. An attic in a Texas summer will cook that equipment and take years off its life. But that wasn't even our biggest concern. Somebody has to service that rack for as long as the house stands — and that meant sending a tech up an attic ladder carrying a backup battery that's 19 by 24 inches and 115 pounds. That's not an inconvenience, that's how people get hurt.
And then there's the building. Rack and gear, you're talking close to 1,000 pounds sitting on maybe four square feet of attic floor — in a house that was never engineered to carry that kind of load right there. That's not us having an opinion about AV. That's the structure telling you no.
The problems worth catching are the ones you catch before they're framed in.
Clean coordination with your trades.
Technology touches nearly every other trade on a custom home, so how we coordinate matters as much as what we install. We're built to slot into your process, not disrupt it:
- We plan at framing. The earlier we're in, the better the result and the fewer surprises — drops, conduit, and infrastructure placed while the walls are still open.
- We coordinate with the electrician and low-voltage trades. Clear lanes, clean hand-offs, no stepping on each other — we sort out who's doing what before anyone's on site, not in the field.
- We work around the real structure. Beams, steel, and red iron you can't run through are facts, not excuses. When a run has to travel fifty feet around an obstruction, we plan for it instead of discovering it — so it doesn't become a problem on your critical path.
- We build to a standard. Structured wiring done properly — labeled, documented, terminated clean — so the home is serviceable for its whole life, not a mystery the next tech has to reverse-engineer.

We plan our scope against your construction timeline, not ours, so the technology is never the reason a phase slips. An honest answer about price.
We don't advertise pricing, and any builder will understand why: until we've seen the actual plans and the actual structure, a number is fiction. Whether we can run straight or have to travel fifty feet around a steel beam, how the home will be used, what the client ultimately wants it to do — the variables are too large to quote blind.
