HAI — Home Automation, Inc. — built the Omni family of controllers (Omni, OmniPro, Lumina) around an idea that was genuinely forward-thinking for its day: put security and automation on one panel. One controller handling the alarm, the lighting, the thermostats, and access, with wall touchscreens to run it all. For years it was one of the more capable systems you could put in a home.
Then Leviton acquired HAI, and over the following years the line was wound down. The Omni controllers that were the heart of these systems were end-of-lifed — and like any centralized controller, that panel is a single point of failure. When it's the brain running your security and your automation, a failing panel isn't a minor annoyance. It's your alarm, your lights, and your climate all depending on hardware nobody makes anymore.
The honest truth about parts.
HAI is discontinued. That means no new controllers, no manufacturer support, and no path forward from Leviton. The parts still out there live on the used market — eBay and the like — pulled from other decommissioned homes.
We'll be straight with you, because it's your call, not ours: if you've got spare HAI parts, or you want to source them used, we can help. We have the HAI software and the knowledge to work on existing Omni systems — we haven't forgotten how these work. So if keeping the current system alive a while longer is genuinely what you want, we're one of the few shops that still can.
But we'll also tell you what we'd tell a friend: chasing used parts for a discontinued platform isn't a plan, it's a delay. Every used module you install is already past its designed life, and you're pouring money into a system that has no future — instead of into one that opens up everything that's become possible since HAI was new.
