Terms of service
These terms cover this website and the customer, builder and staff portals behind it. They do not cover the work we do for you. That is governed by the proposal and contract you sign, which always wins over anything written here.
Who we are
Elegant Automation, a home automation, lighting and audio-video company serving Greater Houston, Texas. Phone (713) 955-5908. We are a service-area business and work at our customers' locations.
What's on this site
The pages here describe the kind of work we do. They are not a quote and not an offer to contract. Every home is different, so we price each project individually after we have seen the space. Nothing on this site is a promise that a particular product, price or schedule is available.
We try to keep the site accurate, but products get discontinued and details change. If something here matters to your decision, ask us and we will confirm it.
Using the contact form
Send us your own information, and information you are entitled to send. Don't use the form to send anything unlawful, abusive or automated. We may ignore or delete submissions that look like spam.
Sending an enquiry does not create a contract or an obligation on either side. It starts a conversation.
Portal accounts
Portal accounts are by invitation. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has it. You are responsible for what is done under your sign-in.
If you are a builder, you may invite members of your own team. You are responsible for who you invite and for removing people who should no longer have access. We may suspend or close an account that is misused, or that puts another customer's information at risk.
Codes and access details
Gate, door and alarm codes are yours to give or not. If you store them with us, they are shown to our staff and to the people who have portal access to that property. While a home is under construction the builder controls those details and decides whether to share them with the buyer; once the home is handed over, they belong to the homeowner. Change any code you no longer want us to have, and tell us.
360° photographs and documents
The 360° photographs are a visual record of what could be seen on the day they were taken. They are not a survey, an inspection, an engineering drawing or a warranty, and they do not show what was changed afterwards. Before anyone cuts, drills or digs on the strength of a photograph, confirm what is actually there.
The builder and the homeowner of a property may view and download the photographs of that property for their own use in building, owning, maintaining and selling that home. Once a home is handed over, the builder keeps read-only access to its photographs and documents.
Upload only files you have the right to share, and nothing unlawful or harmful. There are limits on file size and on storage per project, and we may remove files that break these terms. The portal is a convenience, not an archive service: keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Acceptable use
Don't try to reach information that is not yours, probe or disrupt the site, run automated tools against it, upload malware, or use a portal to harass anyone. Doing so ends your access and, where it is warranted, we will report it.
Text messages
By giving us a mobile number you agree that we may text you about your enquiry and your visits. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. To stop them, switch them off on your Account page in the customer portal, or ask us by phone, text or the contact page; replying STOP to a text does not do it. The privacy policy says what we do with your number, which is nothing beyond that.
Payments and refunds
What you pay, and when, is set out in your proposal, contract or invoice. Cancelling a booked visit late may carry a fee, and the portal tells you when one may apply. The refund policy covers the rest.
Content and trade marks
The text, photographs, design and code of this site belong to Elegant Automation, except where they belong to someone else. Manufacturer names and logos — Control4, Lutron, Vantage, Crestron, LiteTouch, HAI, Ubiquiti and others — are the property of their owners and are used here to describe the equipment we work with. Using a name is not a claim of endorsement unless we say so.
Links out
Where we link to another site, we are pointing at it, not vouching for it. What happens over there is not ours to control.
Availability
We host this site ourselves and keep it up, but we can't promise it will never be down. If you can't reach it and you need us, call or text (713) 955-5908.
Warranties and liability
The website and portals are provided as they are. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties about them beyond what is written here, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from their use, or from their being unavailable. Nothing in this section limits what we owe you under a contract for work, which has its own terms, or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and any dispute about them belongs in the state or federal courts of Harris County, Texas.

We may update these terms; the current version is always the one on this page. Last updated 17 September 2026.
